TERMS OF REFERENCE

Under the supervision of the Child Protection Specialist in Tigray, the GBV consultant will be responsible for completion of the following activities and deliverables:

Oversee and contribute to the gender-based violence work stream of Child protection section including coordination and technical inputs to on-going programmes

Program monitoring and quality control of results

Capacity building and innovation, knowledge management

Advocacy, networking and partnership building

Education

Advanced university degree (Bachelor’s or higher) Social Sciences, Psychology, social work or related technical field is required.

Work Experience

A minimum of two years’ professional experience in the field of GBViE, preferably with a UN agency.

Field experience in supporting the management of GBViE projects

Experience in delivering GBViE-related trainings

Language Requirements

Fluency in written and oral English is required.

Another local language, especially Tigrigna, is a requirement for this role.
